Aims
Our aims of children’s palliative care are as follows:
- To improve the quality of life of children and their families by relieving disease-related suffering;
- To offer comprehensive support to help children to live as fulfilled a life as possible;
- To control disease symptoms to enable children to stay at home with their families and minimalise hospitalisation periods;
- To provide constant psychosocial and spiritual support for the family during the child’s disease, at the moment of his/her death and after, during the grieving period.
