Sunday, December 23, at noon 15:00 charity concert “Tree of angels covers with snow” was held at the Riga Dome.
This concert has developed into a heartfelt tradition – the Children’s Palliative Care Society has organized it for the past six years to collect donations for incurable sick children and their families to provide various daily needs at home.
“Society often does not know about those parents who, along with everyday concerns, struggle with their children’s health condition. These are children who need special medical attention, care, various accessories and equipment, but like any child, whether on a holidays or everyday, want to be with their loved ones, “says Dr. Anda Jansone.
Christmas melodies at the event were performed by organist Larisa Carjkova and RTU Mixed Choir Vivere (artistic director and conductor Gints Ceplenieks), Trio of Pavula Jurjana Music School (concertmaster Georgs Kadolczyk), soloists Zane Gudra, Evita Zalite, Anna Amanda Stolere, Katrina Paula Felsberga and guitarist Aivars Gudrais.
We are thankful to all who helped organize this concert, who attended and donated. During this concert 510 EUR were donated to ensure palliative care for children and their families at home.
