The concert series “My Friend Martins Freimanis” has a noble goal, which tour organizers Micrec PM, Martins Freimanis Foundation and musicians have taken in co-operation with the Children’s Palliative Care Society. In each tour, visitors of the concert will have the opportunity to make a donation to support establishment of multi-functional palliative care centre for children – “Bridges of dreams.”
The centre has been given name of the song of the famous Latvian singer Mārtiņš Freimanis – “Bridges of dreams” (“Sapņu tilti”). Dr. Anda Jansone, Chairman of the Board of the BPAB, says: “We have given the name of M. Freimanis to the Center – by creating it, we hope to build bridges of dreams for a happy, high-quality and fulfilling life, regardless of the constraints created by health. Currently, there is no analogue center in Latvia and the Baltics, but the construction of “Dream Bridge” is impossible without public support, therefore, every visitor, every thought and resources that we all devote is especially important to us. ”
